Setting Up Multifit

The Multifit Interface

Once you start Multifit, you should see a window like this

The Multifit interface

The setup area is where you'll find the starting parameters. The data area will allow you to access data to fit, once you've created the input file. The log area will be filled up by Multifit to tell you you what it is doing.

Once you started Multifit, you should set up the following parameters

• the directory with Chi and Multifit files,
• the directory with Fit data,
• the wavelength,
• the detector to sample distance.

Once you set those parameters, save them using the File -> Save Parameters menu item. It'll create a par file with what you enterred to you do not have to type it in all the time...
